About the Lodge and their people:
The Smithers Driftwood Lodge is uniquely located in the Bulkley Valley. Its close proximity to
numerous mountain ranges and world class river and lakes makes it an outdoor enthusiasts dream.
 Your
hosts Gabi and Norbert Gust along with their two children Philip and Sarah arrived in 1998 from Stuttgart, Germany to
the Bulkley Valley where they found their new home.
Smithers Driftwood Lodge is perfectly situated on 114 private acres and provides you with a breathtaking
view over the Bulkley Valley. Experience the chill of a winter morning with blue skies and glowing mountains when the
sun rises, the freshness of a day in spring, the nice breath of wind on a hot summer day or the fall with its multitude
of colours. Away from the daily routine, unwind and relax, enjoy the peace and quietness at your “Home away from
home”. Or start your adventurous trips into the outdoors right from the lodge.

You can discover our private acreage with wildflower meadows and evergreen
patches. Small trails will guide you through while in some spots benches will invite you to enjoy the beauty of
